We are pleased to announce the new publication of the 8th edition of MULTIPLE-CHOICE AND FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP BIOLOGY EXAMINATION. The eighth edition has been modified and updated to reflect the current AP Biology curriculum. The mathematical analysis and laboratory investigations that were added to the previous edition, have been updated to reflect the College Board Course Framework, effective Fall 2020. Practice questions were also added to the lab section of the 8th edition of the book. About forty percent of the questions have been changed or updated in this latest edition as well. There are total of 355 multiple-choice and fifty free-response questions. The Equations and Formula sheets have been updated for the new AP Biology Exam. The book consists of five parts. Part one contains an introduction for students with suggestions for organizing study and review throughout the year. In the introduction, the eight units of biology are identified, and the six science skills are given. Students are expected to develop a strong foundation in biology, as well as grow experimental, scientific, mathematical, and analytic skills. The second part of the book includes a complete mathematical section. In this section, each formula given on the AP Biology formula sheet is discussed with examples for students. There has been a large transition to mathematical skills as a major focus in the curriculum. The section has been updated with the College Board revisions. The third part of the book consists of a brief synapsis of the recommended laboratory program. There are thirteen recommended labs that are explained in this section. Fifteen multiple-choice questions have been added to review the laboratory investigations. The fourth part of the book consists of chapters for each of the eight units of biology. Each biology unit is broken down into sections of review materials with twenty multiple-choice and four free-response practice questions at the end of each chapter. The questions will demand biological knowledge, data analysis, or science practice. The fifth part of the book consists of three sample exams simulating the current College Board Advanced Placement Biology Examination with sixty multiple-choice questions, two long free-response questions, and four short free-response questions. There is a formula sheet to use with the practice exams that has been modified to reflect the College Board AP Biology revisions. Student answer keys for all multiple-choice questions are separately packaged. Each class order is accompanied by a FREE Teacher's Manual, which contains explanations to the correct choices for all 355 multiple- choice questions, and rubrics for all fifty free-response questions (both long and short). The 8th edition contains many new questions. The questions are as demanding as students will find on the actual AP Biology Examination. Why not give your students the edge?
