The 6th edition has been completely rewritten to prepare students for the new examination in European History scheduled to be administered for the first time in May 2016. It contains nearly 300 multiple choice questions based on the new analytical format related to documents, images, and other historical stimuli. Twenty-two short-answer questions, also linked to documents and images, give students practice in preparing for these demanding new exercises. Three reformatted DBQs provide students with opportunities to practice. Finally, examples of Long Essay questions will make students familiar with that exercise. The author of the 6th edition is Dr. Ellis Wasson, an AP European History teacher and History Department Head at the Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Wasson was a member of the Test Development Committee for the AP European History Examination from 1986-1989, and has been a consultant for the program since 1984. He now serves as Question Leader for the AP European History Examination. He also teaches at the University of Delaware.
